August for Music in Orlando

Visitors flying into Sanford Airport ahead of their annual holiday in Florida can look forward to a full events programme in August and music fans are particularly lucky.
August is a big event month for Orlando, Florida and this year the choice of music concerts is particularly impressive. For rock and pop fans, there can't be a more attractive holiday option than going to an outdoor concert during fine weather and watching a high profile artist perform. There are certainly of plenty of activities and attractions to drag holidaymakers away from the beaches and evening music concerts complement these choices.
The Amway Arena and Hardrock Live are just two of the venues that promote music events in this part of Florida, with the former able to seat over 17,000 guests. The biggest shows in the second half of the summer include Green Day, who perform on 5th August and Britney Spears who performs on 1st September. Other acts on the line-up during July and August include actor, comedian and singer Jamie Foxx, American grunge band, Creed and long-established American rock band Journey. This group, originally created by former talented musicians of Santana, has been playing in various line-ups since 1973 and is probably best known for their hit single "Don't Stop Believing". They are typical "American Rock" and, for British visitors, make a perfect choice of music event for a stay in this part of the world.
There are, of course, plenty of other events, other than music concerts in Orlando during the summer and several of the famous theme parks put on regular special activities. With the latest NASA Shuttle launch taking place during July, a visit to the Kennedy Space Centre would be particularly timely this summer.
