Egypt's leading entertainment centre, SOHO Square, has invited members of the UK DJ aristocracy to hit up the land of the Pharaohs and establish the reputation of two epic new venues as Africa's greatest clubs. The legendary Judge Jules, it was recently confirmed, is set to play the main square on the 2nd of January (2012). There is no doubt his nimble hands will be mixing some amazing tunes with the passion and energy the British Dance community has come to expect from his sell out sets.
The UK Hip Hop ambassador and M.O.B.O award winning DJ, Shortee Blitz will also be playing two sets, back-to-back, on the 8th and 9th of January. Blitz will be playing Hip Hop and Urban flavours at Egypt's premier venue, the ritzy Pangaea, alongside their resident European DJ talent. Then, the next night, Blitz will hit the decks at SOHO Square's unique Caligula ballroom, beneath the Savoy Hotel.
As well as some of Africa's best nightlife, SOHO Square provides a wealth of shopping, bar and dining options and experiences. You can, in fact, eat your way around the globe at excellent restaurants serving Japanese, Indian, Thai, European and Middle Eastern cuisine, in beautifully decorated surroundings. Zen, one of SOHO Square's popular Pan Asian eateries, even has a live feed of the Red Sea Reef to watch as you dine. Bars range from the super slick, modern Mandarin Bar, where you can sip on expertly made cocktails, to the homely Queen Vic, a little piece of England with a garden terrace that over looks the desert.
Flights to Sharm el-Sheikh land at Sharm el-Sheikh International Airport just a short taxi ride away from the city. SOHO Square is situated between the Savoy Hotel and the Sierra Hotel in South Sinai, on the stunning coast of the Red Sea.
