Tenerife is an exotic island that's known for a large ex-Pat British community delivers so much more ithan what you've come to expect. It is a scenic volcanic island, the largest of the seven Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of north west Africa. Tenerife is the most populated island of the Canary Islands and Spain and is famous as the "island of eternal spring" (Isla de la Eterna Primavera) as the average winter temperature is 22 degrees Celsius while in summer average temperatures remain about 28 C. Tenerife is sunny all year round.

Strongly influenced by the tribal culture of the original inhabitants known as the Guanches, Tenerife was conquered by the Spanish 500 years ago. Tenerife boasts 67.14 kilometers of beaches, surpassed only by the island of Fuerteventura. The northern coast has mostly pebble beaches with black sand, while on the south and south-west coast of the island the beaches have lighter, finer sand.
