The island of La Palma is located in the north west of the Canaries and the island covers and area of about seven hundred and six kilometers squared. The island of La Palma is commonly referred to as Isla Bonita that means beautiful island. This island is the fifth biggest amongst the canaries, which is made up of seven different islands. This island is home to population of eighty six thousand and this grows dramatically during the main holiday season. This island is very popular with tourists and they enjoy the regular flights to Canaries. The capital of this island is Santa Cruz de la Palma.

This island is very similar to other islands in the Canaries and it is a volcanic island in the ocean. There are a vast number of attractions on this island and these are very popular with tourists who visit the island. This island is dominated by three main colors, which are green, black and blue. The blue color represents the ocean that surrounds the island. The green color represents the vast amount of plant life that is within the area. The plant life is very diverse on this island. The black color represents the volcanic rocks, which are main part of the island and forms a lot of the landscape. A number of the beaches on the islands can be classed as having black sand. The local economy on the island of La Palma is centered on agriculture and tourism. Most of the farming on the island focuses on growing bananas, grapes, avocadoes and flowers to name a few.

The nearby island of San Pedro is a popular area for music and it tends to host a lot of musical events. There are a lot of international bands that play at the musical events on this island.
