The Turkish holiday area of Antalya is looking forward to a great year in 2010 and things are already starting to happen.

There's is no doubt that Antalya is experiencing good times at the moment as the tourism sector in the area goes from strength to strength. The 2010 season will highlight just how hard local businesses and authorities are working to make the most of the unique opportunities they face at the moment.

The coastline around Antalya has always been a stunning location benefitting from fine weather, crystal clear blue waters and plenty of golden beaches, but only recently has this region come to the attention of the wider travelling public, who now visit the area in significant numbers.

Antalya is a place that also has other commercial interests and the large conference centre in the city welcomes business delegates and sporting competitors all year round. During April Antalya will host one of its regular International Choir Festivals and upcoming sporting competitions include the Turkish Kickboxing championships starting 19th April and the World Archery Championships during June. Antalya will also host the Turkish Salsa Festival at the end of May 2010.

But it is the prospect of a great summer break that persuades many to try Antalya as their next holiday destination and with plenty of luxury hotels to stay in and further developments like new golf courses, there are many good reasons to join them.
