As well as being an increasingly popular holiday destination, the resort area of Antalya in southern Turkey is also a target destination for organisers of large events that can make use of the facilities in the area. Antalya now has a number of large luxury hotels that can accommodate hundreds of conference delegates and the city also has the modern Antalya Expo Centre, large purpose-built conference venue that hosts all kinds of events throughout the year.

In 2010 the Antalya Expo Center will welcome all kinds of conference attendees including The International Ski federation, finance experts, city planning experts, bioinformatics scientists, agricultural experts and horticulture specialists later in the year for Growtech Eurasia.

Cultural and sporting events also come to Antalya to make use of the great facilities and coming up is another Choir Festival, the World Judo Championships and an International Fencing tournament. There have been events for both of these activities in the past, in fact Antalya now hosts two International Choir Festivals each year. The events in April are both for younger people with the Choir festival which took place between 7th and 11th April.

Antalya has held Fencing Tournaments in the past, in fact the World Championships were held there in 2009. The tournament in April this year is for children from all over the world and starts on 22nd April.
