Pyrgos is the ancient name for the city of Burgas. The city consists of a large port as it is located close to the Black Sea. Burgas has its own airport and there are many flights to Burgas from several cities which travelers around the world can avail. The summer season is considered to be ideal to travel to Burgas however, summers make Burgas pretty crowded. There are some quiet places around the city that can be visited whenever you want.

Burgas has several tourist attractions such as The Armenian Church, The Sea Garden, The Lake of Pomorie and many more. The city is extremely lively and entertaining. You are never likely to get fed up or bored here. Among these places there are aquaparks where you can go along with your kids and family.

One of the best aquaparks at Burgas is the Aquapolis at Golden Sands. Another amazing aquapark that children will love is Action Aquapark in Sunny Beach. The Attraction Park known as Aquapolis is one of the most lively water parks in the entire Eastern Europe. It was the first water park formed in Bulgaria in a truly Mauritian and Mediterranean style. The park of Aquapolis lies in the northwestern region of Golden Sands, as you are on the main road starting from Riviera towards Albena.

The slides here are so incredible that you will never feel like leaving the park. There are several slides such as Kamikadze, Wild River, Niagra, Slide Slalom and Blac Hole. This section is excellent for children. Children will also enjoy the pool with the dragon inside.

For adults there is a slow paced River, flowing along a temple that is accompanied by a refreshing waterfall. The temple area also has a few fresh water streams. The temple is not really a modern one but rather consists of its ruins. The adults section also has a huge pool as well as a balneology zone. It consists of hydro-massage facility and a Jacuzzi. You can have some fast food at the restaurants lined up around the water park such as Ambrosia and Neptune.

The Action Aquapark at Sunny Beach is another incredible attraction for both adults and children. It is amusing and inspiring at the same time. The park is situated close to the coast of the Black Sea. It has as many as 13 water attractions with cocktail bars trailing the coastline. Some of the most exciting attractions are Twister, Water Castle and Niagra. Both water parks are worth a visit.
