Armin van Buuren Live in Larnaca

If there is one DJ that is worth flying to Cyprus for, it's the Dutch dance legend Armin Van Buuren. Worldwide, he has been the number 1 DJ for 2 years in a row, which means his place in history as this decade's most influential DJ is secured. He has won more awards than any other DJ and his State of Trance Radio show has 26 million listeners a week from all over the globe. Glenn Morrison, one of America's biggest up and coming dance icons, will join Armin in his mission to blow the minds of Cypriot clubbers. If you want to see Armin Van Buuren and Glenn Morrison live on Mackenzie Beach in Cyprus, book your flights to Larnaca now and make sure you're there on Thursday the 19th of August.
You will find that, just like Armin and Glenn, Larnaca won't let you down as a holiday destination. Some of the top historical must-sees here are the ancient ruins of Kition (dating back to the 13th Century BC) and the ancient community of Choirokoitia, a UNESCO World Heritage site that dates back to the Neolithic Age.
The Larnaca Museum and Fort was erected on the seafront in 1625 by the Turks as a defence against invaders. During British rule, it was utilized as a prison. The fort and museum are now open to visitors and besides the museum's artefacts which include Bronze Age treasures, you can explore the inner courtyard and spacious garden of the fort, as well as some of the rooms inside.
The Church of Ayios Lazaros is a Greek Cypriot Orthodox church that once housed the body of Lazarus, and with its 9th Century Byzantine architecture, is now one of the most impressive landmarks in all of Larnaca and worth a visit just to see the exterior.
Hala Sultan Tekke was once an ancient Muslim shrine built on the shore of the Larnaca Salt Lake. It's the perfect place to take in the serene atmosphere of it's park and spires while enjoying some of the site's ancient and diverse religious history. Hala Sultan Tekke is open to all visitors from all backgrounds as it does not belong to one single religious affiliation. The park is lovely and holds all sorts of cultural events. The lake is submerged with water during the winter and is visited by flocks of pink flamingoes who take refuge there from November until the end of March. In summer, the lake dries up but it still has its charms and lots of wildlife to enjoy.
Ready to kick things up a notch with some outdoor actvities that will get your adrenaline flowing? Then look no further than a quad bike ride up in the mountains surrounding Larnaca, all run by professionally-run, affordable quad bike rentals. It's a memorable riding experience with the added bonus of spectacular views from the mountains vistas.
Another adventurous day out in Larnaca can be spent diving and/or snorkelling off the Zenobia Ferry Wreck in the crystal waters of the Med. Cyprus is fast becoming one of the world's top diving destinations and one visit to the Zenobia and it's brilliant azure waters will convince you as to why. The wreck is close to the water's surface and is perfect for both novice and expert divers alike. If diving is not your thing and you want to explore the Zenobia, there are fun submarine trips to visit the wreckage area. Other water-related activities offered in and around Larnaca include para-sailing, wave-runners, kayaking, paddle boats, and aqua-cycles.
