The island of Lanzarote is home to a number of beaches that can truly be classed as un-spoilt and beautiful. The island of Lanzarote is home to about one hundred and fifty five miles of coastline and nineteen miles of this are man made beaches. A lot of the coastline of Lanzarote is home to cliffs that are spectacular and some of these are six hundred meters in height. There are also a lot of headlands that can be classed as impressive and this is formed by lava that flows down into the sea. These beaches and scenery are all very popular with tourists and these people enjoy the cheap regular flights to Lanzarote.
The beaches on the island of Lanzarote are in contrast to the other beaches that are within the Canary Islands, as they are medium and small in size and they all feature either white or yellow sand. There are a couple of beaches on the island that are home to some pebbles and volcanic sand. There are a vast number of natural beaches on the island, which can be classed as secluded and there is no infrastructure therefore getting to these beaches can be a bit hard but it is well worth the effort.
Some of the areas can only be reached by walking a long distance or by boat. Some of these areas are protected and people are not allowed to swim or bathe within these areas. Despite some of the beaches being protected there is still a vast array of beaches that people can choose from therefore there is still plenty of things to do.
There are a vast number of beaches within the Canary Islands and this is what places such as Lanzarote are well known for. As well as the beaches there is a vast array of other attractions and things to do on the island of Lanzarote.
