Fimucite is Tenerife's Film Music Festival which runs between 5th July and 10th July 2010.

This year, the event is being held for the fourth time, after first being held in 2007. The fourth edition comes to see the light after a project development full of complications, mostly caused by the economic crisis. Because the team cares so much about this project, though, they have worked their heads off and managed to finish all preparations in time. Fimucite is promising to be even better than the previous three years!

Performances of new and established film music are given by the Tenerife Film Orchestra and Choir at different venues around the island. On Monday, they will perform music from the Pirates of The Caribean, The Godfather, Star Wars and John Barry's James Bond at the Guimera Theatre. On Wednesday the 7th of July, they will play a selection of film music from Indiana Jones, the Mask of Zorro, Star Trek, Mission Impossiple and other great films at the Plaza de la Concepcion de La Laguna. On Thursday, they will perform at two locations. From 18.30 onwards they will play at the Plaza de la Candelaria de Santa Cruz de Tenerife and from 20.30 they will continue at the Leal Theatre.

On Friday and Saturday, they will perform at the showcase location of the festival: the Auditorio de Tenerife concert hall in Santa Cruz. The concert on Friday will start at 21.00 and will feature the Battlestar Galactica Symphony and a number of pieces from by the French composer Bruno Coulais from various films.

The scores being performed on the finale of Saturday night include Jurassic Park, Flight to Neverland, Jaws, Superman, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and Schindler's List.

Different guest conductors are included in the schedule, which should be of interest to dedicated classical music fans and visitors to Tenerife looking for an exciting evening's entertainment.
