Whilst many European holiday resorts go through a quite spell before the start of the festive holiday period in mid December, Tenerife still has plenty of activities and events to interest visitors during November and early December.

The final concerts of the Opera Festival of Tenerife took place on November 3rd, 5th and 7th at the island's spectacular Auditorio de Tenerife in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The double feature programme comprised of a performance of 'The Human Voice', a telephonic monologue by Francois Poulen, followed by I Pagliacci or 'The Clowns' by Leoncavallo. This work is most famous for its aria Vesti la Giuba, and since its premiere has been much admired and appreciated by audiences all over the world.

In early November the cinema Multicine Gran Sur screened "This is It", the behind-the-scenes film of preparations for Michael Jackson's series of concerts that were scheduled for last summer in the UK. The film was shown on evenings between 28th October and 3rd November. Also during November, Tenerife hosted an International Documentary Film Festival called Miradas-Doc. Entries to the competition were shown between 1st and 7th November. There were also planned parallel events such as film production workshops and photography workshops.

At the begining of December Tenerife prepared itself for one of America's foremost gospel groups when The Black Heritage Choir performed at the Tenerife Auditorium on 12th December. Finally at the end of December the Tenerife Auditorium also welcomes a week long run of the hit musical Mamma Mia.
