There are some interesting international events coming up in the most popular resorts of Turkey. If you haven't booked a holiday yet, it's worth checking out the last minute flights to Antayla and Bodrum.

From the 8th until the 14th of June, the famous Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival will take place again in Antayla. The fact that this event takes place in the Aspendos Antique Theatre every summer shows how popular it is, since the theatre can seat up to 20,000 visitors. Some big names were involved in the organisation of this year's edition, such as Istanbul's State Opera and Ballet Company and Antayla's State and Ballet Company. This year's programme looks promising with Verdi's Aida on the 8th of June, The Three Musketeers on the 11th of June and Bizet's Carmen on the 14th of June. In total there are 8 performances scheduled.

From the 15th to the 21st of June, the nearby resort Bodrum will host the 4th International Bodrum Film Festival at the historical castle alongside the town harbour. Both locals and tourists are looking forward to the screening of five film of the renowned Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan and the awards ceremony. This year's Lifetime Achievement Award will go to the Turkish film director Metin Erksan. Other famous people on the guest list are Goran Radovanovich, Sofia Trincao, Masha Godovannaya and Hania Moure.
