There are a number of different festivals, which take place in Ibiza, and these attract a wide range of people. The wide range of festivals on this island means that there is something for everyone. The Jazz Festival is just one of the popular events within this area. The flights to Ibiza mean that these festivals are popular with tourists as well as with the locals that live on the island.
The Jazz Festival in Ibiza is an annual event that lasts for three days. This festival normally takes place during September and this attracts a wide range of performers and musicians and they come from all around the world, which makes this an international event. The Jazz Festival in Ibiza is located within the resort of Dalt Vila and this means that the festival is set in some very attractive surroundings. Every year there is a lot of effort that is put into the organizing of the event in an attempt to make it better than the year before.
During 2009 the Jazz Festival includes a range of artists, which includes Tineke Postma who is a young Dutch musician that plays the sax and also the quartet. Joachim Kuhn is a German pianist that is based in Ibiza and in the past he has accompanied a range of Jazz luminaries, which includes Ornette Coleman.
In 2011 the Jazz Festival in Ibiza will start on the 4th of September and it will actually take place in two different venues. The festival will start at eight in the evening within the newly developed area that is known as Espai Eivissa and then from half past nine the festival will take place within the area that is known as Baluarte Sant Pere. The 2011 Jazz festival will have a European flavor, which is from Mina Agossi who is a French vocalist.
