Kos Part 1

The birthplace of ancient healer Hippocrates,Kos has everything for a healthy holiday: fresh air; sunny skies; clear seawater; and great food. Additionally, the idyllic beauty of this island paradise is perfect for relaxing holidays as well as sporty and cultural getaways. You can experience so much in Kos as the island has everything one would desire for a great beach and cultural holiday all in a splendid setting.
Located in the eastern Dodecanese, Kos is hot and dry in the summer, and has mild winters. Summer is the key tourist season in Kos as the sun shines just about every day here.
The island is comprised of mostly sandy beaches and traditional villages. The main villages of Kos are Zia, Kardamena, Kefalos, Tingaki, Antimachia, Mastihari, Marmari and Pyli. Main beaches include Kamari, Xerokambos (Exotic Beach), and Agios Theologos.
For an active holiday. Kos is ideal. Swimming and water sports such as water skiing, wind surfing, sailing, and scuba diving are also big attractions on the island. Beach volleyball, horse riding, cycling (there are bike lanes), and fishing are all readily available here, too. Hiking over the verdant hills of the island is also highly recommended.
