Skiathos is a scenic and wooded island that is several times greener than other places in Greece. Getting here isnt difficult as there are several direct flights to Skiathos from a number of international locations. Skiathos boasts of 60 to 70 sporty beaches spread out over several kilometers. Some of them may be crowded but the enthusiasm around cannot be compared to any of the other paces in Greece. The beach is famous for its delicately laid out white, soft sand. The pine tree forest that covers the periphery of the beach constantly spreads its great fragrance all over the beach. This beach is known to be one of the most splendid and unspoiled natural beaches around the Mediterranean, and is protected by the state.

The crystal clear waters are soothing and the deep blue color simply refreshes you no matter how tired you may be at the time. As the beach has been organized well, it provides great opportunities of beach bars water sports, chairs and umbrellas. People too here are quite friendly and will offer you cold drinks every now and then. The beach area is filled with myriad hotel, restaurants and taverns that constantly smell of great aroma. With proximity to these amenities it is not difficult to feed yourself and your children immediately after the exciting water sport rides. A bus connects the beach to other places after every half an hour.

You might discover a biotope running around the pine forest. This is intended to protect the diverse flora and fauna of the forest and even the unique set of birds that flock around here.
