If you want a quiet beach for a romantic getaway then probably La Pared is a better option and if you are traveling with children then go in for Caleta de Fuste, which is a more bustling town consisting of a busy and lively beach. La Pared, meaning the wall in English, is a rather quiet town located towards south of Fuerteventura. Private Holiday homes and bungalows owned by both residents and locals characterize this awesome townscape. The prime attractions in this town are the wonderful sunsets that you can view from the beach in La Pared. Moreover, there is a unique micro climate at La Pared that has earned it the title of Seaside tourist resort with a special therapeutic climate. The lonely seaside and the surge are amazingly soothing and refreshing.

So if you are tired of the typical city life then La Pared is the place to be. As you enter the town of La Pared you will hardly see an asphalted road for the first 150 meters. Similarly, the smaller streets too are not asphalted. You will be astounded to encounter the main road comprising of neat looking pavements, palm trees and benches running adjacent to the road. The biggest respite for city dwellers is the absence of traffic at La Pared. It is indeed a relief to most tourists coming from larger cities.

The town has two separate entities, the old town and the new town. The old town is located a little ahead of the hinterland and has a motorway which separates it from the new town. The new town is at the seaside. This new region has been tagged as La Pared only in the past few years.

Initially when the town was planned, it was meant to be a large tourist town. Today, La Pared is a tranquil location consisting of private bungalows mainly rented out to visitors and guests. La Pared also does not have any apartment resorts such as those found in other towns of Fuerteventura. The beach has many bays and the largest on is about 900 meters in length. The beaches hardly have any population and are ideal for couples.
