The popular attraction that is known as LagOmar was built on behalf of the famous actor that was known as Omar Sharif and it was built during the 1970s. LagOmar is one of the most popular restaurants within Lanzarote. This restaurant is located within a small sized village that is known as Oasis de Nazaret and this area has an exclusive collection of villas, which are built into the side of the mountain and they are half way between Teguise and Tahiche. There are a lot of people that enjoy this restaurant whilst on holiday in this area and they also enjoy the regular flights to Lanzarote. This restaurant is a very common stopping place for tourists.

The LagOmar is known locally as a restaurant and bar however it can also be classed as a house museum as it has a number of exhibitions and events that take place. This building is the luxurious former home of a well-known Hollywood star.

Visitors that are visiting this area nowadays are able to enjoy the work that was carried out by Soto, as the home is open to the public. The grounds surrounding the home are attractive and very atmospheric. There are signature touches that are hidden within caves and grottos. During the 1980's two architects who were German and known as Beatriz Hoff and Dominik Boetinger made some additions to the work of Soto.

LagOmar is certainly worth a visit as the food that is served here is very good and the kitchen makes every attempt to match the food with the visual impact that is within the surroundings. This restaurant offers menus that feature starters such as stuffed peppers with squid and ham and cheese cannelloni. The mains that are served within the restaurant include Cod in Salt and Duck Magret accompanied with caramelized apples to name a few.
