Tenerife is a bustling city with some amazing tourist spots to explore. You can take flights to Tenerife and plan a stay of about 8 to 10 days to fully enjoy the warmth and attraction of the city. It is full of monuments, museums, pubs, beaches and many other things. Las Aguilas Jungle Park is a unique animal shelter in form of a naturally maintained jungle that will not fail to attract you no matter what your age.
The Las Aguilas Jungle Park in Tenerife is an interesting botanical and zoological park spread over an area of 75,000 sq. meters of the jungle sheltering more than 500 animals. The jungle consists of walking paths accompanied by fun filled tunnels and suspension bridges. As you progress with the jungle you will encounter mysterious caves, waterfalls and lagoons. One of the most amazing features is the free flight show that allows you to view various exotic birds and birds that are a prospective prey to the other animals in the jungle. This unique bird show is a must watch.
The park is located on the hills just over the Los Cristianos region at Tenerife. There are numerous buses that run free of cost to take you to the park from the hotel where you may be staying. You will be awestruck to see the birds such as eagles, falcons and vultures glide away through the higher skies. Their free flight is described in great detail by the park staff using a loudspeaker. This is where the whole trip of the jungle becomes all the more exciting. As you keep following the information being shared, you will also see the whole scene come alive in front of your eyes. Children would simply love the whole combination of being with the wild for a while.
Children will be given bird seeds as the birds land on the ground to take their feed from you. The park also has a great collection of wild animals such as Crocodiles, the White Siberian Tigers, Birds of Prey, Parrots, and Spider Monkeys. You will never grow tired of it even if you spend a couple of days at the park.
The best part about the jungle is the open interaction that takes place between you and the animals. You can freely walk across to the enclosure of animals such as the monkey and feed some nuts. The entry fee for the adults is 23 Euros and for children it is 16 Euros.
