Most people taking a holiday around the area of Paphos in Cyprus will do so because of the lovely weather. Virtually guaranteed sunshine and mild temperatures make it a great location for beach holidays almost all year round. But if relaxing and enjoying the sunshine is not quite enough for you, Paphos also has plenty of more energetic activities to keep you busy.

Because of all the great beaches in this area, watersports are everywhere. Whether you enjoy sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, jet skiing, water skiing or paragliding there are business all along the coast who can offer you a chance to enjoy your favourite activity. Boats are big in Paphos and if you don't own your own you can even hire a speed boat from Paphos harbour.

For children, Paphos has the largest water park in Cyprus right on its doorstep. The Aphrodite Water Park has numerous rides and attractions including a 5 lane water slide, a steeper, 2 lane "kamikaze" slide and also one of the largest family raft rides in Europe.

There are also jeep safari companies and the chance to hire quad bikes on guided tours into the countryside around Paphos. For divers, the seas off Cyprus are wonderful places to explore and several dive companies operate various guided trips including chances to dive on the famous wrecks of the Zenobia and the Akamas. Finally there are also opportunities for horse riding with coastal routes and riding along the beaches and in sea caves both unusual options.
