Motor Show and Music Sundays in Cyprus

If you were lucky enough to be enjoying the warmer weather on Cyprus in January then various music and motoring events may have been of interest to you.
Compared to the freezing temperatures in the UK at the moment, Cyprus is enjoying temperatures a good ten degrees higher, but the real summer weather on the island doesn't arrive until well into April. The delayed start to the warmer weather hasn't stopped the tourism authorities from keeping busy and they organised Sunday music events each week in both Paphos and Larnaca during January.
Larnaca saw performances from Greek Cypriot music and dance groups plus folk music on the final Sunday, all events took place at the Seafront stage each Sunday at 11am. In Paphos similar concerts showcased a wider variety of music styles, with classical, electronic, latin and traditional groups represented. These concerts also started at 11am each Sunday and took place at the Archaeological Park Entrance.
Across the island in Nicosia, the Cyprus International Fair Grounds staged the island's biggest ever Motor Show between the 19th and the 24th of January. Exhibitors were showing both new vehicles as well as antique cars and motorbikes. The show was open daily until 10pm.
You can fly to Cyprus with flythomascook.com all year round with regular flights to Paphos from a choice of airports, with additional flights to Larnaca from April onwards.
