New Bus Route to Paphos Airport

At the beginning of July 2009 a new bus route running between Coral Bay and Paphos airport was started.
A new bus service operated by Alepa Ltd is now running to Paphos Airport on Cyprus from the popular resort of Coral Bay. The starting of this new route is good news for travellers who previously had to rely on taxis to make the journey.
The blue flag beach resort of Coral Bay at Pegeia lies about 7 miles north of Paphos town and is favoured by both British tourists and ex-pats, many of whom have made their home there. The Coral Bay beach is perfect for families, being sandy and gently shelving into the warm waters. Visitors are able to hire sunbeds and parasols for shade and a range of cafes and shops are within easy reach.
The new route, named Number12, is designed to fit in with flight arrivals and departures, and the operators say they will adjust timetables if new flight schedules require it. At the moment there are least 4 return buses each day with more trips scheduled for the busy arrival/departure days of Thursday and Friday.
The route is specifically designed for airport passengers and diverts through several busy hotel and apartment districts. The main locations on the route include Geroskipou, Kato Paphos, Chlorakas and Kissonerga. Each one way journey takes about 60 minutes and costs just 3 Euro with discounts for children.
