There is a vast array of different festivals that are held within Mallorca. The festival that is known locally as Nit de Foc however it is also commonly known as the Night of Fire. This festival is one of the most popular events within Mallorca. A lot of people use the flights to Mallorca in order to enjoy the festivities. This festival involves a number of big bonfires and these include displays of fireworks. The festival is held every year and this is held within the resort that is known as Parc de la Mer. This festival marks the start of the summer within Mallorca and this is the start of the summer festivals within this area.

The Nit de Foc is one of the largest parties within the resort of Palma and this is celebrated on the eve of Sant Joan fiesta. The Nit de Foc event has a wide range of festivities and this includes street parties, fireworks, bonfires, pop concerts and the most famous event, which is known as correfoc. The correfoc involves people dressing up as devils and demons and then they run through the streets with fireworks and firecrackers. This traditional part of the festival is not really for the faint hearted. The main part of the festival takes place around the area that is known as Parc de Mar close to the cathedral.

There are a lot of people from all around the world that come to this area in order to take part in the festivities. People that are visiting this area should bring their dancing shoes with them as the festivities that are part of this festival go on until the early hours of the morning. There are a lot of other things that people can do when they are on holiday within this area.
