Fuerteventura has more than 150 beaches to spend your vacation at. You will probably not even finish with one beach during one vacation. From the beauty of Corralejo up north to the vast stretches of beaches as well as the lagoons down south, Fuerteventura is full of some fascinating places to visit. It also has an airport so you can book convenient flights to Fuerteventura any time of the year. As you reach Fuerteventura, you will find it to be serene in nature. This is because of limited population that is settled here. It happens to be the least populated islands among all the Canary Islands.

Apart from the natural ambience there is a park called the Oasis Park at La Lajita, thats worth visiting, especially if you are visiting Fuerteventura with family. As you drive on the main road of Fuerteventura, it is not easy to miss the Oasis Park. Driving along the main road you will come across an area with beautiful flowers, green bushes and several palm trees on both sides of the main road.

Oasis Park is a unique natural habitat for a number of plants and animals. It will prove to be a great adventure trip as there is a Zoo, a botanical garden and you with your children can go on a camel safari too! The area of the park is about 780.000sq.metres. The botanical garden is a home to several tropical plants.

The zoo accommodates around 250 different breeds of animals. There is also a Jungle Bus which you can avail to see the garden as well as the zoo, in case you dont wish to walk all the way. The park authorities organize animal shows and a lot of other exciting activities all the time for children as well as adults. The animal shows include the show that showcases the birds of prey, the parrot show, the reptile show and the sea lion show.

As you enter the park you will be able to locate the three distinct sections of the park viz. the zoo, the botanical garden and the camel safari station. There are a couple of restaurants where you can plan to have your lunch. The park also consists of a souvenir shop and a garden centre. There is a vast playground for children. It also has toilets where you will find baby changing facilities. The park remains open on all days of the week from 9 am to 6 pm including public holidays.
