Omega Parque Zoo is located within the Algarve and it is located amongst the scenic mountains. This zoo is home to a number of different endangered animals and this includes crowned sifakas, limos, cheetah, bamboo lemurs and also oryx to name a few. This zoo offers the perfect day out if you want to be entertained whilst also getting a bit of an education on endangered animals. A lot of the tourists that visit this attraction make the most of the frequent flights to Algarve.
Omega Parque Zoo is actually fairly easy to get to and there is a relative amount of parking available. This zoo has been praised as being animal orientated as well as being a very good zoo for visitors.
The collection of animals at the zoo is very good and there is a good variety. The zoo was opened during 2003 and it is located about thirty kilometers along the Algarve coast heading toward Portimao. The zoo is set against a hilly landscape and some enclosures are located within a valley and some are located on the hills.
The enclosure styles that are used are not typical of the Portuguese style. The animals have more than enough space and there are places for the animals to hide away from the public. The collection within the zoo contains a vast number of different primates and most of these are rare species.
On average a walk around the park will take about an hour and there is a cafe where visitors can relax at the top of the park. The caf頨as an excellent viewpoint therefore it is the perfect place to enjoy a rest when visiting the park. Entry to the park will cost about eight euros therefore it is reasonably priced for a family day out.
