Malta has a rich history that brings out the beauty of the place by means of its existing forts, palaces, cathedrals, museums and temples. Palazza Parisio is a grand palace that was constructed in 1733 by Manoel de Vilhena in the old village called Naxxar. Manoel de Vilhena was a Grand Master and belonged to Portugal. Today the palace is owned by the Scicluna family. Marquis Giuseppe Scicluna was the member of the noble family who bought the palace in 1898. He renovated the whole palace into a splendid palatial house that beautifully combined the Maltese and Italian art employing the best of artisans available at the time.

Palazzo Parisio is located in central Malta. The interiors of the house are made exceptionally grand and lavish. The Scicluna family has put in great thought into the way the palace should look. As you explore through the palace you will realize that the occupants during the 19th century had great aspirations and ambitions. Even the pretentiousness of the occupants is evident from some corners of the palace.

As you enter the hall, you will first see the four large statues made in Italian marble. The four statues symbolize the four seasons most beautifully. At the entrance you will also notice two baby like figures with wings holding a banner with Salve written on it. The word means welcome. Next comes the stairway that is again made of marble and looks quite impressive.

The palace consists of a Ballroom that defines the artistic dimension of the palace because it has been made with great emphasis on just the appropriate amount of lights. These lights are further beautified by the use of delicately designed chandeliers that truly enhance the elegance of the Ballroom. The palace has a Billiards Room and has everything it needs. Some high seating chairs on the edges, cues and Billiard balls.

The palace also has some magnificent paintings including some Neoclassical paintings that will definitely draw your attention. They look complete and flawless. The complete palace is majestic and you will definitely cherish the visit for the rest of your life.
