Peaceful Menorca

Menorca is often quoted as being preferred over Mallorca as a holiday destination for Spanish tourists and it may be the quieter, more relaxed feel of its resorts that attracts them. Certainly Menorca is a great place for a family holiday.
The quite Cala Galdana is a great place to relax, with a perfect beach, a choice of places to eat and shop and very quiet feel all year round. For some, the lack of excitement in the resort may not be to their liking but if your idea of a holiday is to slow down, lie on the beach and relax then Cala Galdana may be just what you are looking for. It is also well suited for familes with young children with the lack of crowds and the gentley shelving beach leading to the safe, warm waters of the Mediterranean.
Another location on Menorca receiving good reviews is Cala n Bosch, a purpose-built resort with a small beach, a marina and plenty of quality bars and restaurants. The resort on the south-western tip of the island, is safe and clean without the disadvanatges of noise and rowdy revellers to spoil the evenings for young families.
In the same way that Mallorca is starting to appear on the radar of the holiday golfer, Menorca is also staking a claim as an attractive golfer's destination. The Golf Son Parc complex in the north of the island has a championship level course following a continuous series of improvements over the past six years.
