The Prado Museum is located in Madrid, which is the capital of Spain. This museum is home to a vast collection of artwork that was crafted by Fernando the seventh and other royalty members. The Prado Museum is one of the only museums that will allow the visitors to take no flash photograph of the collection that is within the museum. This museum is open six days a week and it is closed on a Monday. A lot of people that visit this area and this museum enjoy the regular flights to Spain from anywhere in the world.

The Prado Museum is one of the biggest art museums within Europe and possible even within the world. This museum is centered on a massive collection of artwork that has been gathered by the Spanish royals over several centuries. The most important displays within the museum is the Flemish and Spanish paintings. There is some religious treasures hat are from medieval times and some classical statues that have been purchased from Italy. Some of the religious treasures that are housed in the museum have been confiscated from monasteries.

The Prado Museum first started out as a museum of natural history and King Mayor Carlos the third founded it during 1785, he also founded the botanical gardens that are adjacent to the museum. He had wanted Prado to become a main center for scientific enlightenment. The building work was completed during and it was opened during 1819. By the time this museum was completed King Ferdinand the seventh was on the throne and the theme of the museum had changed to art.

There is a lot to see at the museum and most it is centered on the royalty of Spain. The museum also contains some artwork from other areas within Europe. There is a range of decorative art and sculpture pieces as well.
