Cyprus showcases top national and international short films 2011

There are now only four days to go till the sixth International Short Film Festival of Cyprus. The event takes place in the beautiful coastal city of Limassol, hometown of Michalis Kakoyiannis, a well loved Cypriot Director and the man who originally inspired the event. More than 60 films, 18 of them national entries, are to be judged over this week-long competition where the deserving winners stand to receive prizes worth more than 20,000 Euros.

The international event called SharMarathon will start at 9.00am in Sharm-El-Sheikh, and the route will lead runners and joggers through Ras Mohamed National Park. The 21.1 km long track passes by Hidden Bay, the salt lake and back to the coast by Yolanda Bay and features sand dunes, rough mountains and mangroves.
