Sanford is the airport that escorts visitors into to Orlando, Florida, the place with the most theme parks in the United States. The sunshine in Orlando is eternal, and the amount of things to do are almost infinite. In fact, Orlando has more activities than almost anywhere else on earth. Besides the plethora of theme parks, the nearby beaches, space shuttle launches, there is the central Florida wilderness which surrounds Orlando that is a treasure trove of flora, fauna, and wildlife.

Orlando has a subtropical climate and there are two major seasons each year. The dry season (October through May) brings more moderate temperatures and less frequent rainfall than the months of June through September which are more humid with almost daily afternoon thunderstorms. But no matter what time of year you head to Orlando, the weather will be fairly hot during the day, and with plenty of sunshine.

Of course, the world famous attractions such as DisneyWorld, Epcot, Sea World, Discovery Cove, Disney's Animal Kingdom and Universal Studios are all located in Orlando and are the major reasons (besides all that sunshine) why millions of tourists descend here all year, every year. The city also boasts several huge and impressive water parks that will astound children of all ages.

When you've done all the theme parks and want to get away from the hordes there's family orientated science centre, several top notch golf courses, and a fine art museum. The Harry P. Leu Gardens is crammed with gorgeous flowers and topiary with lots of walks and paths throughout.

For nature lovers a Florida-style safari awaits you at a place called Forever Florida. If you like to explore on your own, Blue Spring State Park, Wekiwa Springs State Park and De Leon Springs State Park have plenty of open spaces with lots to see. You can take a dip in the local springs, paddle in a canoe, and stroll along the parkland to see alligators in their natural habitat. If you're really a fan of alligators, then Gatorland will not disappoint as it features more than 300 gators, almost 100 crocodiles and a selection of birds and snake exhibits.
