There are a lot of people that feel daunted when it comes to shopping in Arrecife. The town of Arrecife is the capital of Lanzarote. There are a lot of one way systems within this town however there is a lot of parking within town. This town has a wide range of different shops that are on offer therefore it is certainly worth going here for a shopping trip. When you are planning to go shopping in this town it is very important to bear in mind that most of the shops will close in the afternoon for siesta. This town is very popular with tourists that enjoy regular flights to Arrecife.

One of the best places to park when visiting this town is in the car park at the Gran Hotel as there is always plenty of parking underneath. It is true to say that this hotel is somewhat of a landmark building within the town therefore it will be easy to find. There is also a number of multi storey car parks within the town.

For people that may not be that interested in shopping or people that may want to do more than shopping there is a lot of other popular attractions within this town. This town is certainly worth a visit as there is simply so much exciting things to do.

The main shopping area within the town is pedestrianised therefore people are able to shop without worrying about cars. This main shopping area is known as Leon y Castillo, however it is referred to locally as Calle Real. This main shopping area is home to banks, perfume shops, clothes shops, tobacco specialists, Chinese shops, bargain shops and also shoe shops. There is ever a large department store within this area. As you wander down this street the sea will be behind you and there will be some streets off to the right, which will lead down to moored boats and a selections of restaurants and cafes, which are located on the banks of the water.
