If you are looking for a holiday that is more than just a lie by the beach at leisure, there are loads of interesting activities to keep you occupied and entertained throughout your stay in Hurghada.

Hurghada is a city in Red Sea coast of Egypt. It is what you imagine any Egypt holiday could be. Think of the glorious sunshine and warm breeze, the deserts, mountains and the beaches. Hurghada is all of that and then some. Because this is one of the most popular tourist destinations, this village, originally a little fishing village, has become a world-class seashore resort and an international centre for aquatic sports. Many of the water sporting activities include snorkelling, windsurfing, diving and fishing. These compelling attractions keep bringing thousands of visitors back year after year.

Hurghada has a huge international airport with scheduled passenger traffic from all over Europe. You will find lots of cheap flights to Hurghada all the time, especially around this time of the year.

Hurghada is the home of so many lovely sandy beaches and pure sea water. Most of these exotic beaches have palm trees with long and wide branches that create cooling sunshade for holidaymakers. You will even find some sun beds positioned at the beachfront for better viewing of the sea and its natural environments. The beaches boast many great facilities ranging from water sports to boat trips which most holidaymakers find exhilarating. You can even educate yourself by observing the resorts' exquisite fauna and flora.

Other places of interest to visit include the Giftun Island National Park. Here you will be taken on an excursion round this beautiful island surrounded by amazing coral reefs. You could also choose to go on a day trip to the Safari where you get to explore the deserts of Hurghada on a camel, horse or jeep. Or you could choose to go quad biking.

Hurghada is famous for its ancient civilization. Some of its historical sites are the Karnak temple, Luxor and Mummification museum, and the monasteries of St. Antony and San Paul where you get to be guided by monks on your trip round the monastery.

It might also be a good opportunity to sample the wide variety of delicious local foods in Hurghada with the natives or at some of the lovely restaurants.
