The Spirit of Burgas takes place between 13th August and 15th August and organisers expect over 20,000 people to attend the Bulgarian resort. Bourgas is one of several expanding holiday resorts on this part of the Black Sea coastline and has a chain of sandy beaches that are attracting growing numbers of tourists.
There are seven stages to choose from with over 100 expected acts, ranging from the finest of local performers and international creme de la crop. There will be no rain, nor mud, as the fetival will be held along a 20 kilometer stretch of sandy Black Sea beach.
The organisers are still looking for volunteers, so if cash is short why not head out for a bargain break. Book a cheap flight and get free camping and entrance to the festival in return for helping out.
Extending a stay in the area is made very easy by travelling just 16 kilometres north from Bourgas airport to the popular holiday resort of Sunny Beach. The resort has the biggest beaches in this part of Bulgaria and is reported to have over 9 hours of daily sunshine in the months between May and October.
