The Spirit of Burgas is a festival organized to celebrate the talent among people of different cultures giving more emphasis to regional and local artists. The festival was held from Aug 13th to 15th this year and even though it is a short festival it hosts several acts by artists and has an aim of completing 100 different varieties of acts in 7 phases. The festival has also been awarded as the Best European Festival in the UK Festival Awards held during 2008. In 2009 it was recognized as the Best Overseas Festival.

It is a music festival that welcomes several international artists. The festival was introduced in 2008 and it was the first time ever that such an event was being organized in the country. The festival consists of performances from a diverse range of artists showcasing all genres of music. It was covered in order to be broadcasted on MTV European Network and people from 16 countries saw the festival come alive on the screen. The Spirit of Burgas was also nominated for the Best Medium Sized Festival category in 2010 at the inauguration of European Festival Awards.

Burgas is reacheable by air, car as well as train. If you arrive at the Burgas airport it will take you 15 to 20 mins to reach the venue by car. Tickets can be booked with Wizz Air which flies directly from London Luton to Burgas. Monarch Airlines also have direct flights to Burgas from Manchester. The summers are especially active and several tourists flock around the place, some for the Balkan holidays and some definitely for the music festival. From Bucharest and Istanbul, it takes about 4 hours to reach Burgas by car.

The city of Burgas truly embraces the modern sense of art and culture through diverse genres of music. The stunning coastal regions will not fail to impress you as you spend some time in the city. The coastal stretch is close to 20 km. The Early bird tickets for the festival were available 45 euro this year. These are limited in number. With increasing popularity of the festival, the early bird tickets are likely to go faster than before.

Becks, which is the well known brand of Beer, had sponsored the event in 2010. The brand has always paid more attention to the music concerts and festivals than any of the other events being organized world wide. Fans can expect to get their hands on the excellent quality beer from the brand while they are still attending the function.
