Spoilt for Choice in Dalaman

mud treatment

There is so much to do and see in this area of Turkey that children, adults, couples and singles will be spoilt for choice. There are top water parks here, the ghost town of Kayakoyu, and a cruise to Cleopatra Isle. For a relaxing break visitors can indulge in the natural thermal pools at Pammukale Falls or stop in a hammam for a good hot soak. The coast itself is literally crammed with history as the Lycian Tombs are embedded in the rocks here, visible from Dalyan town and very scenic.

A perfect day trip to experience local culture might would be a visit the ancient ruins of the city of Kaunos which is just a few kilometres west of Dalyan town. Visitors can see its Roman theatre, Byzantine basilica, Roman baths, and rock tombs.

The Dalyan mud baths are another attraction. Located in Marmaris, the famous Dalyan Mud Baths are also named the 'Beauty Mud' due to the deep cleansing properties of the warm mud. Visitors immerse themselves in the mud pool, let it dry for a while, then remove the mud in a natural water sulphur pool which has hot springs.

A magical experience many visitors enjoy here is a gullet (traditional Turkish yacht) trip. A gullet excursion allows you to relax in the sun, swim off the coast, and take in the magnificent scenery. There are plenty of gullet trips offered along the Turquoise Coast by the day (often with lunch included), weekly trips can also be chartered if you book ahead.
