In 2007 the orgainsers claim to have hosted the biggest ever collection of superyachts in a single regatta, when over 50 yachts took part in the Cup. This year the competition village moves to the Muelle Viejo marina in the centre of Palma and the organisers are expecting another big entry.
Boats taking part need to be at least 24m in length, which is large by any standards, and the sight of a fleet of Superyachts racing hard is nothing short of spectacular. Holidaymakers along the beaches around Palma will be able to witness the racing from the shoreline.
The whole event lasts 4 days and after an initial day of briefings, the yachts will compete in a series of races over 3 days in the Bay of Palma starting 23rd June.
