Timanfaya National Park in Arrecife

This popular attraction that is known as Timanfaya National Park has been created through a series of volcanic lava fields. This location was declared as a World Biosphere Reserve site during 1993 and UNESCO declared this. The landscape within this national park is brownish yellow in color. This landscape was once very fertile and used as agricultural land however the land was devastated when the volcano erupted between 1730 and 1824. The Timanfaya National Park is a very popular attraction with people that come from all around the world and they make the most if the frequent flights to Arrecife.

There are a lot of visitors to the national park that take the tour bus in order to explore the entire national park. The trip on the tour bus will take about forty-five minutes. It is possible to walk around the entire park however it is best to arrange this well in advance. Camel rides are another superb way to get around the park, however these are only a short ride and will not actually cover the entire park.

Within the park there is the Diabolo restaurant and this is located at the entrance to the park. The famous artist known as Cesar Manrique designed the building, which houses the restaurant. All of the food that is served within this restaurant is cooked in natural lava ovens.

This national park is a popular attraction with tourists and the park is open every day from nine in the morning until five in the evening. The last entrance to the park everyday is half past four in the afternoon. This national park is very easy to get to.

This national park is a must see for anyone that is visiting this area. There are a lot of cheap flights, which make it a popular area.
