Where Danielle Got Her Tan

One of the unfortunate tourists that got stuck on Tenerife due to the volcanic ash cloud were Gary Lineker, his wife Danielle and their five children. After spending Christmas and New Year's even in Barbados, they were polishing up their tans in the Canary Islands right before the ash cloud halted all flights in Europe. Though the journey back to London must have been extremely stressful, the tan the Welsh lingerie model acquired during their prolonged stay seems well worth it. For those who want a holiday tan like Danielle's, flights to Tenerife have resumed.
The Linekers chose the largest of the Canary Islands as their destination because of its reliably lovely climate. Tenerife is a subtropical paradise and has a wide variety of landscapes, ranging from valleys of bougainvillaea, lush banana plantations, flower filled gardens and enchanting pine forests to beautiful beaches, cinder deserts, cactus ravines and Mount Teide, a volcano which is often snow-capped in winter and casts the world's biggest sea-shadow. It's also a great place for holiday makers because it has the greatest range of holiday attractions, sports and nightlife venues.
The sunniest side of the island is the south. A very popular, purpose-built resort here is Playa de las Americas. Within convenient reach of the hotels, tourists will find beautiful beaches, shops, restaurants, bars and clubs. Many tourists staying in the nearby resort of Playa Paraiso actually take a taxi to got to the beaches of Playa de las Americas. Costa Adeje, the most upmarket of the main resorts on the south coast, is an extension of Playa de las Americas, but also within easy driving distance of the nightlife of the Veronicas strip, where the best nightlife takes place.
