The Zoo was opened in 1923 when they had only handful of animals given in their custody by the fire department. Today the Zoo can accommodate at least 500 to 600 animals. Today the number has reached to 400 exciting variety of animals that children and adults both can interact with easily and freely.

Apart from these animals there are some other ways of having fun in the park and one of them is their aerial adventure course called ZOOm Air Adventure Park.
