An infant can be added to an exisitng booking at any time, as long as it is not within 96 hours of the first departing flight.
Infants are accepted from 48 hours old, however, between 48 hours old and 2 weeks old a fitness to fly certificate will be required for the infant and mother. Failure to provide this documentation on the day could result in passengers being refused travel. Infants can be accepted from 2 weeks without a fitness to fly documentation. You will need to contact us once the infant has been born and has a passport. To do this call us on $CHD_Contact_no. The infant fee will then be added, £20.00 /€23 per infant per sector, and a new confirmation will be sent to show the infant travelling on the booking.
Because infants (under the age of 2 years on the final date of travel) do not need a seat, they do not always show on the list of fare-paying passengers. However, infant fees corresponding to booked infants do not appear on the itinerary as well as the number of infants travelling.
Carriage of Infants:
Two Infants travelling with one accompanying adult are acceptable for travel only if the second infant, if aged between 6-24 months, is seated in an approved infant car seat, and the applicable fare has been paid.
Skycots are not available on any Thomas Cook Airlines UK Flight.
Infant car seats may be used, provided a seat has been booked for the child. The car seat must be supplied byt he adult(s) travelling with the child and cannot be provided by Thomas Cook Airlines UK. The seat must be able to be secured in the aircraft seat facing forward and must be of rigid contruction.
Pre-Flight Services for Thomas Cook Airlines UK must be notified when an infant car seat is to be used and will be pleased to discuss the regulations in respect of car seats
.Nappy changing facilities are available on most Thomas Cook Airlines UK aircraft.
Infants are not automatically provided with a baggage allowance on a Thomas Cook Airlines UK flight. 10kg of hold baggage can be arranged by calling the airline on 0844 855 0515. Please note that this is not always avialble and if so is on a first come first served basis.
Most airlines will allow you to take your childs pushchair all the way to the boarding gate. Please advise the check in staff that you have a pushchair so that they can give you a special baggage label. When you reach the boarding gate you will be shown where to place your pushchair. On arrival you will normally collect your pushchair from the baggage reclaim hall along with the rest of your baggage.
Baby cots are acceptable for carriage on Thomas Cook Airlines UK flights. No excess baggage charges will be made.
