A brief overview

Friendly, safe and fun for beginners, improvers and families would best describe Beitostolen. Situated at the edge of the Jotunheimen National Park, Beitostolen enjoys a stunning setting. It offers gentle, uncrowded slopes, a virtually queue-free lift system and an excellent snow record from November through to May. More challenging slopes and some off-piste tree skiing can be found at the nearby 'Alpine Centre' ski area, served by a daily ski bus service. Getting around is easy with accommodation no more than 300m from the ski base and attractive village centre, where you can find a surprising number of restaurants, bars and shops. Off the slopes, there is plenty of choice with a daily programme of family-orientated activities ensuring even the smallest of visitors have a real winter experience whether it's mini-snowmobiling, dog sledding or a bombing down the slope on an inflatable raft! Fun for beginners and improvers of all ages both on and off the slopes epitomises what Beitostolen's all about.
