A brief overview
Borovets is one of Bulgaria's most established ski resorts. At
1300m, the small, compact resort sits amidst thick pine forests within the Rila
Mountains. The ski area is split into two distinct areas, both easily accessed
from the resort centre. The bustling resort offers many restaurants and bars
providing a wide range of international cuisine as well as local dishes. There
are bargains galore in the local shops and market style stalls in the
pedestrianised shopping area, and going out is extremely good value compared to
home.
