A brief overview
Hemsedal is what we call an 'all-rounder'. Forested slopes, huge,
powder bowls and endless off-piste challenges. The diversity of terrain, snow
quality and crowd-free slopes make it hugely appealing. A special nursery area
where supportive instructors coach beginners through their first steps means
it's also a great place to learn. It's not just downhill skiing either. There's
a world class terrain park enticing pro-riders from across Europe, and over
200km of cross country trails meandering through picture-postcard winter
scenes. You can choose to stay in one of two bases; Hemsedal Ski Centre is the
most convenient for the slopes or downtown Hemsedal where the legendary
apres-ski gets going at weekends. To top it all, if you've ever fancied a go at
activities such as 'mushing' or driving your own snowmobile through the
wilderness, there's plenty on offer ensuring memorable skiing and boarding is
not the only highlight of your week.
