A brief overview

Saalbach and Hinterglemm are attractive villages sitting side-byside in the heart of picturesque Salzburgerland. They offer quick access to a large, well-linked ski area known as the 'Ski Circus' via an impressive lift system. With over 200km of runs, it is one of the best-suited areas for keen intermediates who will struggle to cover every run in a week. Both villages are largely traffic-free making wandering between tempting konditorei, cosy stuberls and lively bars a delight at the end of the day. Apres-ski is buzzing straight off the slopes and later on in the bars and clubs in both centres, although Saalbach is generally livelier than its neighbour. For non-skiers, there are many snow-cleared paths for scenic walks, a variety of resort activities on offer and day excursions to the beautiful city of Salzburg. Charming resort centres, quality accommodation and a fantastic variety of runs to explore make this area one of our favourites.
