A brief overview
A series of hamlets winding along the valley floor between the
highest town in France, Briancon, and the 'Col du Lauterat' Serre Chevalier can
provide a really special skiing experience what ever the conditions, whatever
your ability, and whatever your ambitions. Neilson accomodation is based right
in the heart of the resort in the village of Villeneuve, an area that benefits
from a fantastic range of tree lined runs extending deep into the 250km ski
area. Beyond this open bowls beckon for those who live for the back country;
Skiing and boarding in Serre Chevalier gives you a real sense of travel in your
adventures on the slopes. A park for experts, long gentle runs that take you
back home and a lower key apres scene than some more famous French resorts.
Activity off the slopes can range from gourmet delights in the old town to
trying your hand at ice driving - mirroring the resorts skiing - there really
is something for everyone.
