A brief overview
It may not have a huge ski area but the personal service you get
in Vemdalen, together with a special children's ski area, award winning ski
school and winter activities for all ages means you'll be hard pressed to find
a more family and beginner friendly resort than this. We love it - it's quiet,
it's off the beaten track and it's very, very special. The compact ski centre
sits at the base of a network of gentle, uncrowded runs, never too far from the
high standard cabins and hotel. There's no need for a bus in this resort.
Vemdalen has ploughed a great deal of investment into its ski area recently,
resulting in new slopes and lifts and a terrain park. For a change of scenery,
the neighbouring ski areas of Bjornrike and Klovsjo/Storhogna, covered on the
same lift pass, are both served by a bus service. For a safe, fun family ski
holiday or confidencebuilding first trip to the slopes, Vemdalen is just the
thing.
